Peace and quiet, great weather, wonderful views, lovely food, reading a book by the pool, a romantic dinner in the old chapel, the crickets singing in the trees, bats flying over the house at dusk, an amazing night sky, glorious sunsets, days on the beach, late night drinks by the outdoor log fire, a warm welcome and good company.
With only 5 suites, extensive grounds and a large number of quiet places to sit and relax The Proud Garden is never crowded.
We are small and independently owned. This does means that we are unable to offer some of the facilities of larger establishments. We don’t have a reception desk manned 24 hours and we can’t offer 24 hour room service. But, we are small enough to be flexible and we make up for this in many other ways. We understand that everybody is different and we will always do our best to accommodate this. Need a particularly early breakfast because you’re off sightseeing, not a problem just let us know the evening before. Relaxing by the pool and fancy a snack at lunch time, not a problem, we are always about during the day for requests. You have a late flight home and would like to keep your room for a few more hours. Yes, as long as we don’t need it you can keep it. Picnic to take to the beach? yes of course. We understand that it’s the little details that make or break a holiday and we love people to have a good holiday.
We designed The Proud Garden around the concept of how we like to holiday. The suites and public areas are simply but stylishly furnished. The beds and linen are excellent, you will sleep well. There’s a fully equipped kitchen in each suite because we understand that you may not want to eat out every day. But there’s no pressure to use this, we are happy to point you in the direction of one of our favourite restaurants. There are communal areas if you want to sit and chat to your fellow guests. But there are many private areas to sit and relax around the house and gardens, so if you need some ‘me’ time there’s always somewhere to escape.
There are numerous properties that provide all the latest technology. Whilst we do have complimentary wifi in every suite and throughout the house, you won’t find a phone or television. What we do have in abundance in this part of the world, and we believe to be our key selling points, are the simpler things in life. Peace and quiet, great weather, wonderful views, lovely food, reading a book by the pool, a romantic dinner in the old chapel, the crickets singing in the trees, bats flying over the house at dusk, an amazing night sky, glorious sunsets, late night drinks by the outdoor log fire, a warm welcome and good company.
Think of The Proud Garden as a rustic but stylish home away from home, you come and relax, we take care of the details.
